Latest News / Re: Lineage 2 World
« Last post by xFranky on July 12, 2017, 09:43:15 PM »Good evening to all,
I am personally a very old member of L2JFrozen and I purticipate in a lot of pack fixes, bug reports, make new features that could be included in the L2JFrozen, such as KVN mode and I have worked many years with only L2JFrozen up to this day.
I personally study IT programming in the UK, where I would like to get a qualification on Game designing and developing.
My opinion, even though is too late, is if you still keep it a public project, following the ideal of Linux.
Linux is an open source operating system which is supported by millions of users and at least 800 users. Everyone can be developer on that operating system. If there is a virus, it can be updated to the operating system within 1 day.
The reason why I mentioned Linux is, since you do not have that much time to work on the project, the money you may sell the project wouldn't give you the same protection with really good projects worked for longer time than yours. Since you don't have that much time, you can still spend your personal time and have the other users to work on this project or pack. When a member of L2JFrozen creates something such as security feature, it can be pasted here, where you can filter it, maybe improve it and include it in the pack. With this way, the project, or pack can be improved within a sort time of period.
Therefore, if you get and follow the same philosophy and theory of how Linux have become a successful OS, you may get back all the trust of the users, including being the best pack that will be out there, including public or private projects.
This is personally my opinion.
Kind regards,
xFranky

Guides / Re: 2. MySQL in Linux CentOS - Configure MySQL Server
« Last post by PeNaChO on May 18, 2017, 12:22:25 AM »Good tutorial for newbies.
So...
I think in next tutorial you can teach how to optimize mysql for live servers. Cuz default mysql settings aren't good for this, especially versions earlier than (5.6/5.7).

Join the Test Server! / Re: Test Server Online for all
« Last post by smfc on May 15, 2017, 05:46:16 PM »You could just "kill 2 rabbits with one shot"
Make server public, you don't even need to make custom zones or anything, just some mid rates so players will have to waste x time to get to 80, and that's it you get free testers, maybe even more donations for project ^^
I do rly like how you spent your time by fixing bugs an making interlude live again but as much as i want to help you find bugs - on your test server it is boring as hell

true best way to find bugs...

Latest News / L2jFrozen Beta Pack Status
« Last post by Shyla on May 13, 2017, 11:54:32 AM »Hello Guys,
I would like to update you about Beta pack current working status. Me and Nefer are working hard to solve some important bugs before release the first version, also solving some architectural issues and dependencies we have between internal modules: this because we are trying to allow separate modules testing and verification, to not impact other functionalities with some fixes we will do in next future. Sorry if we were not able to release the beta so fast, we are trying to make it as soon as possible, but we would like to avoid to release a version that is not stable enought for you.
Thanks for all your support and reports, they are always needed to allow us to continue our work.
